Outdoor Alternative provides group accommodation
in Rhoscolyn, Anglesey, North Wales. Situated
in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with
direct access to a superb and varied coastline,
Outdoor Alternative is ideally placed for visitors
to participate in a wide range of interests.
Our
3 star quality group accommodation consists
of two purpose-built, comfortable buildings.
Excellent home-cooked food is available, or
visitors can use our well-equipped self-catering
facilities if they prefer.

Rhoscolyn offers tremendous scope for a wide
range of outdoor activities including kayaking,
climbing and subaqua as well as pursuits such
as walking, bird watching, and family beach

We
are ideally situated for field studies and school
trips particularly for students with an interest
in geology, biology, leisure studies, and geography.Outdoor
Alternative is also an established venue for
management training and staff away-days.
Outdoor
Alternative has purpose-built accommodation
designed to provide comfortable year round facilities
for groups of up to 36 in 2 adjacent buildings.
There are some facilities for people who use
wheelchairs.
The accommodation is clean, warm and well ventilated.
The beds are comfortable; pillows, duvets, freshly
laundered sheet sleeping bags are provided.
The buildings are fully centrally heated and
have a wash-hand basin in each bedroom. Showers,
washrooms and toilets are either en-suite or
adjacent to the bedrooms.

From Four Mile Bridge: Take the left turn shortly
after the bridge over the Inland Sea at Four Mile
Bridge- signposted ,”Rhoscolyn”. After
1.3 miles turn sharp left at the brown and white
(symbol) “camp & caravan 1 and Silver Bay
signs. At about 1K/.6 mile down this lane look for
a large white gatepost appearing in the middle of
the road. (This is BEFORE the first speed ramp) Take
the unmade track to the right of the post, the gate
says “Private road no cars”, follow this
track 200m, Cerrig yr Adar/Outdoor Alternative is
on the left.
